Osteoporosis, a burdening disease

Osteoporosis is a demineralizing disease of the bones with an insidious onset that is more common in aging females with a family history of the disease. Signs of osteoporosis are curved backs in elderly people and increase in fracture risk, especially hips. Methods of avoiding or improving osteoporosis are to do weight bearing exercises, taking calcium supplements with vitamin D, decreasing alcohol, caffeine and smoking consumption, and taking prescription medications.
