Research shows asthma inhaler recommendation unbeneficial
The findings by an English study goes against current recommendations to double the inhaled steroid dose at the beginning of an asthma attack. The study found that there was no appreciable difference between asthmatics who use single or double doses of steroids at the onset of an asthma attack. The believe this is because the drug works too slowly to prevent exacerbation.
