Abductor Pollicis Brevis Tendons: The abductor pollicis brevis tendons are paired bands of connective tissue made of collagen that connect the abductor pollicis brevis muscles to bone. The abductor pollicis brevis tendons enable the abductor pollicis brevis muscles to have the action of opposition, in which the tip of the thumbs is able to touch the tips of all the other fingers of the hand. It also abducts and extends the thumb.
