Alimentary Canal: The alimentary canal is a long tube that makes up a part of the digestive system. It runs from the mouth to the anus and includes the mouth, pharynx, esophagus, stomach, small intestine and large intestine. It is about 30 feet long. The alimentary canal works in conjunction with the accessory digestive organs to digest food.
