Circumduction: Circumduction is an anatomical term that is used to describe the complex action of a body part when it moves in a circular motion. Circumduction includes adduction, abduction, flexion, and extension. Examples of circumduction include the circular movement of the eye, wrist, and shoulder. Conditions that can affect normal circumduction include musculoskeletal trauma, bone fracture, myalga, muscle/tendon rupture, muscle/tendon tears, strains, arthritis, myopathy, atrophy, infectious myositis, and neuromuscular diseases.
