Eosinophils: Eosinophils are a type of white blood cell. Eosinophils have the ability to help protect the body from parasitic infections. They are also involved in the allergic reactions and inflammatory states.
Conditions that can afflict the eosinophils include leukemia, leukopenia, eosinophilia, and eosinopenia, and idiopathic hypereosinophilic syndrome.
