Salivary gland cancer: Introduction
Cancer of the salivary glands. Salivary glands are located around the inside of the mouth and throat and produce saliva which keeps the mouth moist and facilitates the chewing of food. Salivary gland cancers are generally rare and occur mostly in one of the three larger glands such as the parotid gland.
