Separation anxiety disorder
Separation anxiety disorder: Introduction
Excessive apprehension or anxiety due to the removal or departure of a significant person or familiar surroundings. Separation anxiety is normal part of a child's development but when it persists past a certain age or has a significant impact on their life and activities then it can be a problem. By the age of five, most children tend to be minimally affected by separation anxiety.
