Various tests are used in the diagnosis of Bent penis. Some of these are listed below :

  • Examine for non-tender hard plaque palpable just beneath the skin on the front of the penis which is suggestive Peyronie's disease)
  • Examine for Hypospadias - the urethral opening is displaced on the ventral/back side of the penis. If severe it can cause a curvature of the penis.
  • Examine for epispadias a rare congenital abnormality where the urethra opens on the dorsum/front of the penis. Marked curvature of the penis is usually present evidence of penile scarring due to trauma may be seen
  • Examine for urethral discharge which may suggest Gonorrhea
