Campylobacter jejuni is the main organism responsible for infectious type of diarrhoea. These infecting organisms trigger the humoral immune responses to peripheral nerves, which in turn leads to GBS. The diagnosis of GBS is mainly on the clinical grounds and is usually confirmed by nerve conduction studies.
