Medical terms related to Healing symptoms or mentioned in this section include:

• AIDS: A term given to HIV patients who have a low CD4 count (below 200) which means that they have low levels of a type of immune cell called T-cells. AIDS patients tend to develop opportunistic infections and cancers. Opportunistic infections are infections that would not normally affect a person with a healthy immune system. The HIV virus is a virus that attacks the body's immune system.
• Adrenal Cortex Diseases: Diseases of the adrenal cortex. Examples includes Addison's disease, Cushing's syndrome and adrenal fatigue.
• Artery conditions: Any conditions affecting arteries
• Autoimmune Lymphoproliferative Syndrome: An inherited autoimmune condition characterized by proliferation of lymphocytes and autoimmunity against the body's own blood cells resulting in premature death of certain blood cells.
• Back tumour: The presence of tumour growth in the vertebra, whether due to primary malignancies e.g. leukaemic or myeloma infiltration of the bone marrow, or due to secondary metastases from another site e.g. lung or breast.
• Bruising: Bleeding under skin leading to discoloration.
• Cancer: Abnormal overgrowth of body cells.
• Circulation symptoms: Symptoms affecting the circulatory system
• Circulatory disorder: Disease affecting circulation of blood
• Clotting disorders: Disorder with excessive clotting
• Clotting symptoms: Symptoms affecting the blood's ability to clot
• Cushing syndrome, familial: A hormonal disorder caused by high levels of the cortisol hormone due to the abnormal development of the adrenal gland.
• Cushing's syndrome: Symptoms similar to those of Cushing's disease
• Cushing-like symptoms: Symptoms similar to those of Cushing's disease
• Diabetes: Symptoms similar to those of diabetes
• Diabetes-like symptoms: Symptoms similar to those of diabetes
• Discharge: Various types of fluid discharges
• Ehlers danlos syndrome: An inherited disorder of the connective tissue causing it to become weak and fragile. Connective tissue is found in skin, muscles, tendons and ligaments and hence all of these may be affected by weakness
• Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, classic type: A rare genetic connective tissue disorder characterized by hypermobile joints, joint dislocations and skin hyperextensibility and fragility - a combination of ED types I and II.
• Hemophilia: Blood disease usually genetic causing failure to clot.
• Hip cancer: The presence of tumour growth in the bone of the hip, whether due to primary malignancies e.g. leukaemic or myeloma infiltration of the bone marrow, or due to secondary metastases from another site e.g. lung or breast; cancer affecting bone of hip likely to affect other bones e.g. vertebra, ribs
• Immune disorders: Disorders that affect the immune system
• Infection: Infections as a symptom.
• Leukocyte Adhesion Defect: A rare inherited disorder characterized by abnormal neutrophil functioning which reduces the body's immunity. The abnormal neutrophils are unable to be transported to sites of infection due to their inability to adhere to certain blood vessel components which would normally lead them to the infection site. Infections may be life-threatening as the body is unable to destroy bacteria effectively.
• Poor healing: When a wound takes a prolonged time to heal
• Poor wound healing: prolonged time to heal
• Rib symptoms: Symptoms affecting the ribs
• Scurvy: Severe disease from vitamin C deficiency
• Sickle Cell Anemia: Sickle cell anemia is an inherited blood disorder characterized by red blood cells which are crescent-shaped rather than the normal doughnut shape. These abnormally shaped red blood cells are unable to function normally and tend to undergo premature destruction which leads to anemia. If the genetic defect which causes the condition is inherited from both parents the condition can be quite severe whereas if it is inherited from only one parent, often there are no symptoms. The abnormally shaped red blood cells can cause problems when they clump together and block blood vessels.
• Tuberculosis: Bacterial infection causing nodules forming, most commonly in the lung.
• Varicose veins: Appearance of veins in the skin
• Vein disorders: Any disorder that affects the veins of an individual
• Wound Infection: Infection of a skin wound.
