Throat cancer
Throat cancer: Introduction
Cancer of the throat. The throat (or pharynx) is the hollow tube inside the neck that starts behind the nose and finishes where the windpipe and esophagus branch off. Throat cancers include cancer of the nasopharynx, cancer of the oropharynx and cancer of the hypopharynx. The cancer usually starts in the lining cells of the throat.
