Glossary for Thymus Cancer

  • Blurred vision: Blurriness of vision or images.
  • Cancer: Abnormal overgrowth of body cells.
  • Double vision: Double vision
  • Endocrine system cancer: Cancer that affects any gland in the endocrine system
  • Face swelling: Swelling affecting the face
  • Immune disorders: Disorders that affect the immune system
  • Muscle weakness: A condition which is characterized by an inability of the muscles to function at their full strenght
  • Myasthenia Gravis: An autoimmune disorder which interferes with nerve impulses to muscles and hence results in weak, easily fatigued muscles.
  • Pure red cell aplasia: A rare blood cell disorder where there is a sudden decrease in the number of red blood cells (erythrocytes) produced by the bone marrow.
  • Shortness of breath: The feeling of being short of breath
  • Thymoma: A condition which is characterized by s tumour derived from the epithelial cells of the thymus
  • Thymus disorders: Any disorder that affects the thymus
