Viral dysentery

Viral dysentery: Introduction

A severe diarrhea caused by a virus. The condition is characterized by inflammation of the lining of the large intestines which causes diarrhea, often with blood in the feces. Dehydration can be a serious and possibly fatal complication of this disease. Viral dysentery is contagious.
